The incident took place in a government medical care in the town of Jhansi. The doctors at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College put the amputated leg under the victim's head to help him.

Visuals of the man which were aired on local channels showed him lying on a stretcher with bandages around the leg. The attendants of the patient at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College alleged that his severed leg was used as a pillow.

As per reports, the victim is a cleaner in a school bus and injured when the bus carrying children toppled to avoid collision with a tractor. The incident happened on Saturday in Mauranipur area of Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh. He was immediately rushed to Jhansi medical college, where the doctors amputated his leg to avoid infection.
