New Delhi, January 5: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially started the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website cuet.nta.nic.in for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by central, state, deemed, and private universities for the 2026–27 academic session.

CUET UG 2026 Registration Dates and Important Deadlines

The CUET UG 2026 application window opened on January 3, 2026, and will remain active until January 30, 2026 (11:50 PM).

Candidates must complete the application fee payment by January 31, 2026.

The NTA will also provide a correction window from February 2 to February 4, 2026, allowing applicants to edit selected details in their submitted forms.

CUET UG 2026 Application Fee Structure

The application fee depends on the category and number of subjects selected:

• General (UR): INR 1,000 for up to three subjects; INR 400 for each additional subject

• OBC-NCL / EWS: INR 900 for up to three subjects; INR 375 for each additional subject

• SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: INR 800 for up to three subjects; INR 350 for each additional subject

• Outside India Candidates: INR 4,500 for up to three subjects; INR 1,800 for each additional subject

How to Apply for CUET UG 2026: Step-by-Step Guide

  • Visit the official CUET UG website at cuet.nta.nic.in.

  • Click on the CUET UG 2026 Registration link on the homepage.

  • Complete the new candidate registration by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID.

  • Log in using the application number and password generated during registration.

  • Fill in the application form with personal details, academic qualifications and contact information.

  • Select the exam subjects and medium of question paper as per eligibility and course requirements.

  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.

  • Review all details carefully and make corrections if required before final submission.

CUET UG 2026 Eligibility Criteria

There is no upper age limit for CUET UG; however, participating universities may have course-specific age or eligibility requirements.

CUET UG 2026 Exam Pattern and Languages

CUET UG 2026 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and offered in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Candidates can choose up to five subjects, including domain subjects, languages, and the general test.
