The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the revised examination schedule and released the admit cards for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 papers that were originally slated for May 28. The NTA said that admit cards for candidates appearing for the test on May 31 have been released and they can be downloaded from the official website – cuet.nta.nic.in. Aspirants whose papers were moved to the later June dates will need to wait briefly for their documentation. The admit cards for June 6 and 7 will be released soon, the agency said. Officials have emphasised that while the dates have changed, previous exam shift times, center rules, and subject structures remain unaltered. The testing body added, "Stay updated by checking the official website regularly."

The sudden change in the examination timeline occurred after the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an office memorandum modifying the exact observation date for the religious festival. Because the centralised holiday calendar shifted, testing administrators opted to push back the papers to avoid logistical conflicts and unnecessary pressure on travelling students. The Common University Entrance Test-UG (CUET-UG) was introduced in 2022 to standardise admissions across Central, state, and select private universities in the country.
