Devina Gehlot, daughter of former Delhi transport and environment minister and current BJP MLA Kailash Gehlot, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 results. Released on Tuesday, June 23, by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the results position Gehlot as the top-scoring candidate in a nationwide examination taken by over 11 lakh students. A student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Vasant Kunj, Gehlot expressed surprise at her achievement despite being confident about her performance.

While she anticipated a strong score following a 99 per cent aggregate in her CBSE board exams, emerging as the national topper was unexpected. She credited her success to the consistent support of her parents, sister, school, and teachers. CUET UG Result 2026 Out: Step-by-Step Guide To Check Scorecards at cuet.nta.nic.in.

Conceptual Clarity Over Rote Learning

Detailing her preparation strategy, Gehlot emphasised that she did not subscribe to studying for gruelling, long hours every day. Instead, she focused on strict daily discipline, regular intervals, and continuous revision. According to Gehlot, anchoring her initial preparation around the CBSE board exams helped construct a robust academic foundation for the entrance test. She relied heavily on NCERT textbooks and systematically solved an extensive archive of previous years' question papers.

Advising future competitive aspirants, Gehlot cautioned against referencing too many study modules simultaneously. She noted that students should focus their efforts on mastering concepts through a thorough reading of NCERT textbooks rather than spreading their attention across multiple superficial sources.

Managing Examination Stress and Delays

The topper highlighted that mental confidence and a calm demeanour play a decisive role during stressful competitive testing. She observed that internalising excessive pressure often destabilises a student's confidence and directly hinders performance. According to Gehlot, trusting one's structured preparation and remaining level-headed remain the most critical execution factors. Reflecting on the evolving landscape of national entrance examinations, she noted that traditional rote memorisation is fast becoming obsolete. Gehlot described the CUET infrastructure as an application-based testing environment that deliberately rewards conceptual grasp and analytical application rather than simple memorisation. Daily targeted revision, she asserted, proves vastly more effective than attempting to spend an entire day crammed in front of books. Avni Kejriwal Scores Perfect 500/500 Marks: Ranchi Girl Emerges As All-India CBSE Class 12 Commerce Topper After Re-Evaluation.
