The National Board of Examinations (NBE) in a quick move declared the revised result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Post Graduate (PG) courses. The candidates who had appeared in the January examination, can check the NEET PG 2019 revised result on the official website; nbe.edu.in. As per NBE notification, those candidates who have secured the revised qualifying scores will be eligible to participate in the upcoming counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the next and final session of the admission process for PG courses. NEET PG candidates are furthered advised to note that the individual scorecard will be published shortly which will allow the eligible candidates to participate in MCC counselling process. MCI Lowers NEET PG Cut-Off by 6 Percentile for All Categories in Academic Year 2019–20. 

The NBE NEET PG revised result 2019 came in accordance with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India letter F.No.V.11012/5/2009-ME (P-I) dated 07th May 2019 and the minimum qualifying percentiles have thus been lowered. NBE noted that the candidature is purely provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the NEET PG 2019 information bulletin. Besides, NBE also confirmed that there is no change in the NEET PG 2019 Rank.

What’s Next?

As NBE declared the NEET PG 2019 revised result, the qualified candidates will next appear in the counselling process, which conducted by MCC. The Medical Council will only hold the mop-up round and a stray round of counselling. The mop-up round of counselling is scheduled to be held on May 13, 2019. As and when NBE publishes the NEET PG 2019 scorecard, the eligible candidates will have to download the same from the official website and present it during the NEET PG 2019 counselling process. No individual scorecard will be sent via post to the candidates.

MCC with a nod of the central government had revised the cut off lowering it by six percentile, opening gates of opportunity for numerous candidates, who could not participate in the counselling process before. The percentile and scores have been lowered to fill the seats that are left vacant after the conclusion of the second round of NEET PG counselling. NBE will release the revised result for All India 50% PG quota seats for NEET PG 2019 separately.
