The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) issued a notification for those who will sit in the Group C and Group D exams 2018. It was last week when RRB activated the link for students to check their application status online at the official website, indianrailways.gov.in. The Board discovered several errors in candidates’ photo in the application forms. Their photograph did not appear to fall under the requirements as set by RRB. Hence, the candidates have been given an opportunity to upload a fresh photo in the required size. The window to check the application status online will be available till July 20.

The new notification printed on the RRB website mentioned that the Indian Railway aspirants could either log in through the application link or the one which has been sent on their registered email id to upload the photograph. Once the procedure is completed successfully, RRB shall release the admit cards for the exam by the end of July. A confirmation on the same is still awaited. According to reports, about 1.5 crore candidates applied for over 89,000 vacancies in Group C and Group D of the Indian Railways. The exams for the same are slated to held from August to September 2018.

Apart from errors in the photographs, it is important to note that in case if any candidate has not met the eligibility criteria according to RRB, their application will be cancelled. The candidates will be selected by a Computer-based Test (CBT) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). RRB will provide the questions in 15 different languages so that students from every corner in India can sit for the recruitment exams.
