The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited aspirants who are interested in working for Combined Defence Services (CDS). All the eligible candidates can fill in the applications online at upsconline.nic.in for the CDS Examination II, 2018 and the last date to submit the same is September 3, till 6 pm. According to the notification released by the commission, the exam will be conducted on November 18, 2018. The candidates are further recommended to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the available positions at CDS. Brief instruction for filling up the application forms online is also provided on the website.

To apply, the candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 200. The registration process is divided into two parts, part I—applicants have to submit the necessary information. In part II—fill in the payment details and choice of exam centre and upload your passport photo and signature in the given format. Once you are done with the submission, save the final copy and take a print out for future references. The CDS exam II is to recruit candidates for Indian Military Academy—100 vacancies, Indian Naval Academy—45 vacancies, Air Force Academy—32 vacancies and Officers’ Training Academy—225 and 12 in Non-Technical 24th SSC Women course.

For I.M.A and Officers’ Training Academy, the candidate has to be a graduate from a recognised University or equivalent. To apply in Indian Naval Academy, a candidate should have a degree in engineering, and for Air Force Academy, a degree of a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering is the required educational qualification.
