Free Aadhaar Update Deadline:
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the central authority responsible for Aadhaar Card issuance, announced a three-month extension to the deadline in June for free Aadhaar card updates, now set to expire on September 14. “The service of uploading documents PoI/PoA as mentioned in the list of acceptable documents to revalidate your credentials through my Aadhaar portal (SSUP) is now free of cost till 14.09.2023,” UIDAI wrote on X, formerly Twitter. If updation is not done by September 14, the same will be chargeable even on the myAadhaar portal starting September 15, 2023. Exchanging Rs 2,000 Notes Deadline:
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that while the notes will remain valid as legal tender beyond that date, the final day to exchange or deposit the discontinued Rs 2000 banknotes is September 30, 2023.
Demat Nomination Deadline:
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has mandated that all demat and trading account holders must designate a nominee by September 30, 2023. Those who have not yet provided their nomination details and wish to either submit their nominations or decline the nomination option may also be permitted to do so.
Second Advance Tax Deadline:
The second installment of advance tax for the fiscal year 2023-2024 is slated for payment on September 15, 2023. This requirement applies to all taxpayers whose projected tax liability for the year amounts to Rs 10,000 or more, considering tax deductions and collections at source (TDS and TCS), as stipulated by Section 208 of the Income Tax Act 1961.
It must be noted that starting from September 1, 2023, Axis Bank is set to implement changes that will reshape its renowned Magnus credit card. These revisions include changes in the value of reward points and removing certain payment categories from the reward point system.
