Ganpati Bappa is back in town and the city streets have come alive with Pandals set up, murtikars (idol makers) at work and Ganesh idols standing tall. With Ganesh Chaturthi today, Mumbai's most awaited Ganpati, Lalbaugcha Raja darshan begins at 4:00 am on September 13. The inauguration of Lalbaugcha Raja by Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal is taking place at 4:00 am IST and the darshan will be open to devotees from 6 am. The Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati was first installed on September 12, 1934. The pandal is in its 84th year and is thronged by lakhs of devotees during the Ganeshotsav every year. The Ganpati idol of Lalbaugcha Raja is known as "one who fulfils all wishes." Lalbaugcha Raja Mukh Darshan 2018

The mukh darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja will begin at 6:00 am today after the launch at 4:00 am. The pandal will be inaugurated by Mandal President Balasaheb Sudam Kamble. The same will be followed by Pratishthapana Puja. After the puja, Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 darshan will be opened to all the devotees from 6.00 AM onwards and the Lalbaugcha Raja souvenir for 2018 will be published. The Morning aarti will take place at 12.30 PM on the first day. The Evening aarti will take place at 08.30 PM. The MUKH DARSHAN line will take the following route:- Chhatrapati Shivaji Ground (Garam Khada) – Dr. B. A. Road – Dattaram Lad Marg – T.B. Kadam Marg – Add’l C.P. office – Dr. B. A. Road – RANI BAUG on Central Line. To reach here one can come from Chinchpokali or Byculla Station. (Depending upon the length of the line) The Mukh Darshan queue is also reachable from Cotton Green Station on Harbour Railway.)

Lalbaugcha Raja darshan for all devotees will be available for 24 hours from early morning 6.00 AM, Thursday 13th September 2018 onwards till Saturday 22nd September 2018 midnight.

Lalbaugcha Raja Charan Sparsh will be available for 24 hours from early morning 6.00 AM, Thursday 13th September 2018 onwards. The darshan will be closed on Saturday 22nd September 2018, Morning 10.00 AM.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha (Elephant God). The day marks the beginning of the 11-day Ganesh Utsav, during which devotees bring idols of Ganesha home and hold prayers.
