As it was raining, a friend on bike offered her lift. The incident was captured in  a CCTV camera installed at a roadside shop. Locals blamed Kalyan-Dombivali municipal corporation as civic apathy was clearly seen as banned paver blocks were used to build the road.

A similar incident happened on June 2 when eight-year- old Aarav Atrale, who was travelling on his father's bike, died after their vehicle skidded off the road due to gaps between paver blocks.
