The Centre on Friday said that it would not be lawful to decide for once and for all about the handing over of the Services to the Delhi government as the Supreme Court is yet to rule specifically on who gets the authority to decide on the services. The remark by Centre came after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Centre and Lt Governor were not paying heed to the Supreme Court judgement delivered by the apex court on Wednesday and also said that the Union Government refused to give control of the services to Delhi government.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced 10 years of jail in one of the cases in the Panama Papers Row. Sharif's daughter and co-accused in the case, Maryam, was also convicted by the anti-graft case and she was handed a 7-years jail term. This is a huge blow for Sharif's party as the Pakistan General Elections are slated for 25 July, 2018. Sharif said that he was paying the price for trying to alter the 70-year-old history of Pakistan.
