Panaji, June 15: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has resumed work at his office in the state secretariat today. He returned home from USA on Thursday, after undergoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment since the last two and a half months. Earlier in the day, he had also gone to visit Mahalaxmi Temple in Panaji to offer his prayers.

Parrikar landed in Mumbai Airport last evening, and then took a flight back to Goa. At the Goa Airport, he was received by state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. ANI quoted Parrikar saying, "It feels nice to be back."

According to previous reports, the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) informed that Parrikar will hold the state cabinet meeting today. Further news on the same is awaited.

Before leaving for USA, Parrikar was hospitalised on three occasions in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital and the Goa Medical College since mid-February.  On February 22, he also presented the Budget in the Assembly, but the session was truncated due to his illness. He was shifted to the US in March first week this year for specialised treatment.
