Amaravati, October 25: In a freak accident, a man died after a country-made bomb exploded in his mouth in Gaddamvaripalli village, in the Bangarupalyam mandal of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred late hours on Monday. He was rushed to a hospital and was declared dead. The police registered an 'Accidental Death Report' (ADR) in connection with the incident.

According to a Times of India report, the deceased was identified as M Chiranjeevi, a resident of Gaddamvaripalli. Bangarupalyam CI Nagaraju Rao stated that Chiranjeevi was going through a tough phase in his life. He had a recent argument with his wife, who subsequently left their home. Police Launch Probe Into Incident

The police said that the deceased was in an inebriated state when he chewed on the country-made bomb. The bomb then exploded in his mouth, damaging his face. After hearing the blast, neighbours arrived at Chiranjeevi's house and alerted the police. Subsequently, they rushed him to a hospital, but the doctors declared that Chiranjeevi was dead. His dead body was taken for a post-mortem. The police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to Chiranjeevi’s unfortunate incident. In July, the police found around 22 country-made bombs in a Sintex water tank at Muchumarri village in the Nandikotkur constituency of the Nandyal district. The detection of country-made bombs made the entire village panic since Mucchumarri village in Nandikotkur constituency is a fraction-prone village. Madhu, a resident of Mucchumarri village, went to clean the Sintex water tank. While getting into the water tank, he detected some balls rolled in threads. Though initially he thought of leaving them in the tank only, he became suspicious and informed Mucchumarri police.
