Pandharpur, July 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the Hindus around the world on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, also known as Devshayani Ekadashi. PM Modi also shared a video of ongoing 21-day long Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadashi Wari (pilgrimage) in Maharashtra. Pandharpur Wari is considered is as one of the most religious processions carried out in the Ashadha Ekadashi month.

In the one and a half minute clip, Prime Minister Modi explained the link between Solapur district's Pandharpur town with Ashadhi Ekadashi, which is celebrated on July 12 this year. Sant Dnyaneshwar's image is carried from Alandi, Nivruttinath's from Trimbakeshwar, Sant Tukaram's from Dehu. During the journey, the pilgrims also known as Warkaris sing devotional songs of Lord Vitthal and other saints, before the march finally culminates at Pandharpur on Devshayani Ekadashi.
