According to Bora, the callers inquired whether she could arrange women who could "dance and drink" at a well-known resort located in Sonapur. "A call came asking if there were girls who could dance and drink. When I asked why they needed them, they mentioned a party at a very popular resort in Sonapur," Bora recounted. She alleged that the callers offered a substantial payment of INR 80,000 for the engagement, a sum that immediately raised her suspicions. "They said they would pay INR 80,000 just for dancing. I wondered who would pay such an amount only for dance," she said. Bora added that when she directly questioned whether the arrangement involved s*x work, the callers denied it, insisting, "No, we only want models to dance and drink with us."

While Bora refrained from publicly identifying the individual, she alleged that the callers linked the request to a senior legislator currently holding a ministerial portfolio. "I cannot take names - they are very big. If I do, I could get into trouble. But what I am saying is true. It is someone who has been an MLA for a long time and is currently a minister," she claimed, citing fear of repercussions. Following the incident, Bora stated that she consulted a police acquaintance for guidance. According to the model, her contact advised her to distance herself from the situation while also noting that external actors might be misusing the political figure's name without their direct involvement or knowledge. "A friend of mine in the police told me that when he was posted in Sonapur, he had heard a little about such things but was later transferred. He advised me to stay away from it," she said. She further said, "He said it is possible that the MLA may not be directly involved and that someone could be misusing their name. If such things were actually happening, they would likely be done secretly". Expressing broader concern for newcomers entering the industry, Bora cautioned that young professionals seeking work and financial stability could be vulnerable to exploitation under the guise of high-paying performance offers. "There may be new girls who need work and money, and they could be trapped, especially since the offer only mentions dance," Bora said.
