Patna, December 3: Bihar Police on Tuesday informed that they had recovered a half-burnt body of a woman from the fields in Kukurha village of Itarhi of Buxar district. The state police have begun the investigation and sent the woman's body for post-mortem.

Informing more about the incident, the police state that the initial investigation reveals that the woman was first shot and then was burnt. Buxar Superintendent of Police said, as quoted by the news agency ANI, "Body of the woman has been sent for postmortem. The investigation is being conducted. Though, no confirmation on sexual assault could be known as of yet, police have not ruled out its possibility. No arrest has been made so far. The incident comes a day after Chhattisgarh Police on Monday has found the half-burnt bodies of a woman and her child in Nakti Police Station area of Rajpur on Monday. According to the initial information, disseminated by the news agency ANI, the half-burnt bodies of the mother and child were found on Monday morning.
