New Delhi, August 5: In a bizarre incident, a passenger at Jaipur airport was detained on Sunday for causing a bomb scare. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the passenger was annoyed at being put through the second round of security check at the airport. Reports inform that the passenger refused to cooperate during the security check and was later handed over to the police after he shouted that he had a bomb in his bag. However, no bomb was found after authorities thoroughly checked his belongings.

The passenger, identified as 40-year-old Jai Prakash Choudhary, had booked an Indigo flight to Delhi. He was being interrogated by Sanganer police. Jaipur airport director JS Balhara was quoted in the report saying that the passenger got into an argument with the staff during the security check and created a row.

Reports inform that Choudhary is a resident of Chitrakut Nagar in Jaipur who runs a computer kiosk service agency. Due to the chaos at the airport, the flight was delayed for nearly 30 minutes, causing inconvenience to passengers. The plane, Indigo flight 6E 203, was scheduled to depart at 10.40 am but took off at around 11.10 am.

Sanganer police station (SHO) Lakhan Singh was quoted in the HT report saying that they have detained Jai Prakash Choudhary as he shouted ‘mere bag me bomb hai’ (I have a bomb with me) after which the airport authorities informed us about the matter.
