Ranchi, April 29: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday saved the life of polling officer during the phase 4 voting of the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand. Leonard Lakda, the polling official who was on duty at a polling station in Sarango of Gumla, suddenly collapsed and started bleeding. The CRPF also tweeted about the incident. In the tweet, the paramilitary forced said, “MAKING THE COUNTRY PROUD: When a polling staff member suddenly collapsed, followed by nose bleeding at a polling booth in Dist Gumla, Jharkhand, CT Anil Sharma of #226Bn CRPF carried him on his shoulders and ran for 3Km to reach a hospital where the polling staff was saved.” Naval Officer Lt Rahul Dalal Saves Drowning Man at Kerala's Vypin Beach, Wins Hearts on Twitter.

The voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand concluded today. A total of 64.12 percent voter turnout was recorded in the state. The general elections in Jharkhand are taking place in four phases. In the fourth phase of the parliamentary elections, three seats were being contested, in the fifth and sixth phase each, the voting will take place in four seats, while in the seventh phase, and remaining three seats will go to polls. The results will be declared on May 23.
