The decision follows weeks of sustained student protests and preliminary findings from ongoing multi-agency investigations. Chief Minister Soren confirmed that the cabinet's directive scraps every activity tied to the Lucknow-based private vendor, including past examinations, published results, candidate selections, and ongoing recruitment processes. The cabinet also formally cancelled the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) examination. Speaking to reporters in Ranchi, Chief Minister Soren acknowledged that investigative teams uncovered severe procedural lapses and fraud linked to the third-party testing agency. To ensure long-term structural integrity in state recruitments, the government is constituting an Examination Reforms Committee headed by senior IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal. The panel has been tasked with auditing previous examination protocols, reviewing standard operating procedures, and recommending stringent safeguards to restore transparency and candidate trust. The policy shift comes after growing public scrutiny over third-party test administration in the state. State officials indicated that formal police and CID inquiries into recruitment processes dating back to 2014 will run concurrently with the committee's administrative review. The government plans to announce fresh examination schedules once stronger compliance frameworks are established.
