New Delhi, June 4: Five new areas were added to the list of containment zones in Delhi on Thursday, taking the number of containment zones in the national capital to 163. Of the total containment zones, South-West and West districts have 31 each. North district has the maximum 32 containment zones, as per the fresh list of coronavirus hotspots. According to the list, East district has 20 containment zones. In North-West district, 15 areas have been identified as containment zones and in New Delhi 14. Central and Shahdara districts have 10 containment zones each. There are five areas in containment zones in North-East district. Situation in Delhi remains grim with 9 deaths as the total number of cases rose to 23,645 in the national capital. A total of 209 patients were discharged and now the active cases in Delhi stand at 13,697. In Delhi, 606 people have died so far due to Covid-19. Delhi government claimed that 4,940 beds, 153 ICU and ventilators are still vacant. Delhi has conducted around 230,145 tests.
