New Delhi, June 6: After Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri questioned the working style of Aam Aadmi Party's free metro and buses rides for women, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia comes into defence. Sisodia said that whenever Delhi CM introduces any new developmental scheme, "it's made fun of" but when it's done, everyone says it is successful. Hardeep Singh Puri Questions Arvind Kejriwal's Move, Says Decision Taken in Haste.

"Whenever Arvind Kejriwal introduces a new scheme of this kind, it's made fun of. But when it's done, they say yes it is successful," Sisodia said replying to Puri's remark. Delhi Deputy CM went on to say that "He (Puri) must keep smiling and just give his blessings to Delhi people. Expressing his opinion on Aam Aadmi Party's move, Puri said that "BJP is all for women. We'll do anything for women if it's possible. But schemes are not made like this that you announce it first and then make a proposal. Same thing he did in case of unauthorised colonies."

On Monday, CM Arvind Kejriwal announced free rides for women in metro and buses, asserting that, Delhi government will bear all the cost. However, he said, "We're also seeking suggestions from people, regarding implementation." On one side, this move is being criticised for gender inequality, insulting women's capability. While some are praising Kejriwal for this remarkable move.
