Cricketer Collapses During Match, Dies in Doda
Officials told the news agency GNS that Furqan collapsed while playing at the Sports Stadium Thaloran. Another report from the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said the player collapsed on the field while bowling during a match in the Gandoh tehsil area.
He was taken for medical treatment following the incident but was declared dead. Officials said the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. The deceased has been identified as Sohail, a resident of Bhaderwah, according to officials.
The body has been sent for medico-legal formalities and will be handed over to the family after completion of the required procedures.
