Among the seized items were 40 bottles of expired soft drinks. Officials also found soda bottles without proper FSSAI-compliant labels, raising concerns over whether the products met mandatory food safety and labelling standards.

The action comes days after another private club in Bengaluru faced similar scrutiny. The kitchen of Chairman’s Club in Sahakaranagar was shut down after a September 3 inspection by the Food Safety wing of the Department of Food Safety and Drug Administration.
Officials had seized 40 kg of expired chillies from the club kitchen. The Chairman’s Club kitchen was also found to have serious hygiene issues. Officials detected the use or storage of unauthorised artificial colours and found that vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items were being stored together.
The inspections were carried out following directions from Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader. Officials said the establishments were found violating provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Rules, 2011.
Srinivas K, Commissioner of the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, said the Chairman’s Club kitchen was closed due to serious deficiencies related to food safety and hygiene.
