Mumbai, November 6: A gay love triangle took an ugly turn when a youth killed his partner for choosing another man. Dhaval Unadkat, a computer engineer, attacked Parth Raval, also a techie, on seeing him with one Mohammed Asif. According to the police, the trio became friends on social media and later entered into a gay relationship.

According to an FIR filed by Asif, he had blocked Unadkat after the latter refused to undergo some medical tests. Irked over this, Unadkat landed at Asif's rented home at Hill Road on Sunday evening. The accused got furious when he found Asif and Raval together, and a verbal spat soon turned violent. Asif alleged Unadkat tried to strangle him with a wire.

“On seeing this, Raval intervened and was hit with a candle stand made of iron," Asif stated in his complaint. When bald Raval started bleeding, the other two took him to Holy Family Hospital where doctors advised them to take Raval to Lilavati as he had suffered a skull fracture. At Lilavati, Raval refused to get stitches, and the trio left the hospital the injured man had got first aid.

“Raval asked doctors to treat him using some medicinal gel instead of stitching the wound and took discharge against medical advice,” senior inspector Girish Anavkar told TOI. The trio then arrived at Asif's house, and Unadkat then left for his residence in Kandivali. On Monday morning, Asif found Raval in an unconscious state in another room.

Raval was rushed to Lilavati where he was declared dead. According to the police, he may have died because of the skull fracture. Following a complaint by Asif, cops arrested Unadkat. He was booked for murder, attempt to murder and criminal intimidation.
