The deceased has been identified as Muthe Chandrasekhar, who was serving as a writer stationed at the Amberpet Police Headquarters in the city.
According to police sources, Chandrasekhar placed a video call to a young woman around midnight and informed her that he intended to end his life. Alarmed by his declaration, the woman immediately contacted the Chaitanyapuri police station to raise an alert. Chaitanyapuri officers swiftly relayed the emergency notification to the local Malakpet police station, under whose jurisdiction the constable’s residence falls. Malakpet police personnel rushed to his residence shortly after, but found Chandrasekhar hanging from a ceiling fan. The body was recovered and subsequently shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Investigators at Malakpet police station have registered a case regarding the incident and initiated a comprehensive inquiry into the underlying triggers and circumstances surrounding the death. Further investigation remains ongoing.
