New Delhi, February 14: The next date of INX Media case hearing is on February 28, Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the 2012 Sheena Bora murder case, may be called to appear in-person in Delhi court on hearing on her plea to become a witness in the case. The Indrani, former director of INX Media, has agreed to become a witness in the alleged corruption which includes Karti Chidambaram, son of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Sheena Bora Murder Case: Indrani Mukerjea Says She Is Ready to Face Lie-Detector Test.

Mukerjea recently wrote a letter to Patiala House court in Delhi, seeking a grant of pardon as an accused. Earlier, Indrani in a statement said that Karti had demanded 1 million dollars from her and her husband, Peter Mukerjea. Following Indrani’s statement, Karti was detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in New Delhi. Last year, in March, Karti was brought to Mumbai to interrogate. The Delhi court in its recent order directed Byculla jail authorities, where Indrani is lodged for killing her daughter, to make arrangements to produce her before the court through video-conferencing. There are speculations that Indrani may be called to appear in-person.
