Jaipur, February 15: What was meant to be a night of celebration turned into a shocking incident after a man allegedly posed as a wedding guest and stole the bride’s bag containing jewellery and cash worth around INR 4 lakh. The entire act was captured live on the hired photographer’s camera, making the video go viral.

The incident took place on February 7 at Chandan One Marriage Garden in the Jagatpura area during the wedding celebrations of Naveen Karol. According to the police complaint, a well dressed man carrying a blazer blended in with other guests gathered near the stage. Family members and guests, busy with the ceremony and photography, did not notice anything unusual at the time. It was only after the photoshoot ended that the bride realised her bag was missing.

The stolen bag reportedly contained jewellery and cash valued at approximately INR 4 lakh. A thorough search of the venue yielded no results, prompting the family to review the wedding’s video footage. The recordings clearly showed the suspect executing the theft.

Nitin Karol, the groom’s brother, filed a formal complaint with the police. Officials confirmed that the accused has been identified using video evidence and a search operation is underway to apprehend him.

The incident has left both families shaken, transforming a joyous wedding celebration into a distressing memory. However, investigators are hopeful that the clear camera footage will soon lead to the suspect’s arrest.
