Rajouri, March 18: An Indian Army Jawan was martyred in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday. Pakistani forces resorted to firing from small arms and shelling mortars in Rajouri’s Sunderbani sector at 5:30 am. Meanwhile, three civilians were also killed in the ceasefire violations. The Indian Army retaliated strongly. The firing stopped at 7:15 am. Earlier, on March 17, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire triggering a strong response from the Indian Army. On Saturday also, the ceasefire violation took place at 1:30 pm after the Pakistani side started shelling mortar and firing bullets along the LoC in Mankot sector of Poonch district. Meanwhile, on Saturday night, terrorists attacked an army patrol in Yaripora area of Kulgam. As per reports, three jawans were injured in the gunfight. Ceasefire violation incidents by the neighbouring country have increased since the February 14 Pulwama attack.
