The mother of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal has reiterated her demand for the death penalty for the two accused in her son's alleged murder, saying that although one of the accused, Siya Goyal, also has a mother, she wants the harshest punishment if they are convicted. Her remarks came as Pune Rural Police recreated the crime scene at Lohagad Fort, a key step in the ongoing investigation into Agarwal's death, as reported by TOI.

Her statement follows similar appeals made by Ketan's father and other family members during a candlelight march held in Pune, where relatives and local residents demanded swift justice and the strictest legal action against those accused in the case.
Accused Taken to Lohagad Fort for Reconstruction

According to investigators, the reconstruction exercise was conducted to verify the accused's statements, establish the movements of those involved, and better understand how the alleged crime unfolded. Police said the exercise forms an important part of the evidence-gathering process.
Investigation Continues
Police allege that Ketan Agarwal was murdered following a conspiracy involving his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary. Investigators have claimed that Goyal had expressed reluctance to go ahead with the marriage and had discussed her concerns with family members before the engagement, but was unable to stop the wedding plans. Authorities are continuing to examine the motive and other evidence as the investigation progresses.
The accused remain in police custody as investigators complete forensic examinations, analyse digital evidence and record witness statements. No court has yet determined their guilt, and the allegations remain under investigation.
Ketan Agarwal, a 26-year-old realtor from Pune, died after allegedly being pushed into a gorge at Lohagad Fort earlier this month. What was initially treated as an accidental fall later became a murder investigation after police uncovered evidence suggesting the incident was planned.
The case has attracted widespread public attention in Maharashtra, prompting candlelight marches, demands for a fast-track trial and the appointment of a special public prosecutor by the state government.
