Krishnagiri, November 7: In a shocking case from Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district, a 25-year-old woman and her lesbian partner were arrested on Thursday for allegedly murdering her five-month-old baby boy near Kelamangalam on November 2. The accused were identified as S. Bharathi of Chinnatti village and her partner Sumithra, 22, from the same locality.

According to police, Bharathi was married to K. Suresh, 38, and the couple had three children - two daughters aged 5 and 3, and an infant son named Dhruvan. Investigations revealed that Bharathi was involved in a same-sex relationship with Sumithra, which led to frequent quarrels with her husband. Following repeated disputes, Bharathi temporarily left for her mother’s home but was brought back by relatives. West Bengal: Mother Allegedly Kills Son With Help of Lesbian Partner in Hooghly, Victim’s Father Says ‘Hang My Wife and Her Friend’.

However, suspicion grew, prompting Suresh to file a complaint on Tuesday. During the investigation, police uncovered Bharathi’s confession and found evidence linking Sumithra to the crime. Authorities recovered a text message in which Bharathi admitted to killing her son and even shared a photo of the deceased child with Sumithra. Police also seized intimate photos and videos of the lesbian couple from their phones.

Both women have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody as investigations continue into the chilling case.
