The arrest followed a complaint lodged by the minor victim's father. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Speaking to the media, Sub-Inspector Gurbachan Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Hariana police station, confirmed that the accused was taken into custody on Thursday and further investigation into the matter is ongoing, NDTV reported.
