Mumbai, February 20: The leopard, which was spotted in Thane's Korum Mall earlier today, was caught in the premises of Hotel Satkar Residency in the city. Earlier in the day, Pradeep Giridhar, Senior Police Inspector had said that the wild cat was located at the basement of Hotel Satkar Residency. As soon as the incident was reported, the forest rescue team and police officials arrived on the spot. Reports inform that teams of Forest officials and fire officials burst crackers to get the leopard out and tranquilised it around 11 am.

On Wednesday, a video of the leopard straying in Thane's Korum Mall went viral, causing panic among the residents of the city. According to visuals captured by the CCTV camera, the leopard was seen walking in the mall and moving to the exit gate of the parking area. According to reports, a police official of Vartak Nagar area was quoted saying that the wild cat was spotted in the mall around 5.30 am on Wednesday. Leopard Cub Found Sleeping Next to Kids in Maharashtra's Nashik House. 

Soon after the news broke out, an alert was sounded in surrounding areas. The areas that surround the mall including Hotel Satkar residency, Singhania School and the famous Jupiter Hospital.
