Former Civil Aviation Minister & NCP leader Praful Patel will not appear before the Enforcement Directorate today in connection with airline seat allotment scam. According to ANI, Patel said, "Due to prior commitments, I have requested the Enforcement Directorate for another date."
On Wednesday, Uttarakhand Finance Minister Prakash Pant, who was battling with cancer for some time, passed away in Texas in the US. He was 59. He had recently gone to the US for treatment. Pant, who was born in Pithoragarh, later became an MLA from the district. He was also a pharmacist by profession.
In February, Pant had fainted in the Vidhan Sabha while presenting the state budget for 2019-20, after which he was hardly seen in public.
