Mumbai, November 28:  Uddhav Thackeray will take oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister at the Iconic Shivaji Park today. Thackeray has sent out an invite to Narendra Modi for his swearing-in ceremony.  In addition to an invitation letter, Thackeray also had a word with PM Modi over the phone.  The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to take place today at 6:40 pm.

On Wednesday, Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray reached Mumbai from Delhi after inviting Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and Former PM Manmohan Singh for the swearing-in ceremony of Uddhav Thackeray as Chief Minister of Maharashtra today.

The Assam government on Wednesday imposed a complete ban on tobacco products for one year. The ban has been imposed on the sale, manufacture and display of gutka and pan masala containing tobacco and nicotine.
