Police allege that Kayumova arranged for foreign women to enter the city through illegal means. Investigators are also looking into the alleged use of fake documents and other methods to facilitate their stay.

One of the more serious allegations under investigation is the suspected involvement of a doctor who allegedly performed plastic surgery on some of the women to change their appearances.

Investigation Began In June 2025

The investigation into the alleged racket began in June 2025 when a team from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) conducted a raid at an apartment in Lucknow.

During the operation, officials apprehended two foreign women identified as Holida and Nilofar. Investigators allegedly found links between the women and Kayumova, leading agencies to examine her role in the wider network.

Investigators have also gathered information suggesting that a lookout notice had been issued against Kayumova in Uzbekistan.

Kayumova Allegedly Stayed In Lucknow Illegally

According to police, Kayumova had secretly married in Lucknow and continued to live in the city despite allegedly overstaying illegally.

Investigating agencies are now examining her alleged links with networks operating in Uzbekistan and Nepal. The probe is also looking into the possible involvement of other individuals who may have helped facilitate the movement, accommodation and exploitation of foreign women.

The investigation remains underway as agencies work to establish the full extent of the alleged trafficking and prostitution network and identify other people who may have been involved.
