Pune, August 4: Heavy downpour lashing the Mumbai and created havoc in nearby districts, bringing the movement to a standstill, the district administration is issuing various notices for people to remain cautious. In the latest, Pune District Collector has announced that all schools and colleges will remain closed till Monday.

Making the announcement, Pune DC Naval Kishore Ram, "All schools and colleges to remain closed on 5th August, in view of continuous rainfall in Pune." This latest announcement comes after heavy rains created traffic jams and waterlogging becoming a headache for the city residents. Not only in Pune, all schools to remain closed in Nashik on Monday, in view of continuous rainfall in the city. Even the neighbouring cities of Mumbai - Palghar, Thane and Raigad are witnessing similar flood-like situation. Central and Western Lines of Indian Railways have cancelled many trains as tracks are overflooded and landslides becoming eminent all over Maharashtra.
