Mangalgiri, February 20: In a shocking incident in Mangalagiri, a 27-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife following a heated argument over the volume of the television set, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Sheikh Ahmed, an AC mechanic who was residing with his wife in a TIDCO housing colony. According to police officials, the couple got into an argument after Ahmed reportedly asked his wife to lower the TV volume. Locals rushed Ahmed to the Government General Hospital in Vijayawada for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. In a separate incident earlier this month in Telangana, a man allegedly stabbed his ex-wife to death at an apartment in Rangareddy district after she remarried following their divorce. Police said the accused was upset over her second marriage.

In another case, advocate G Swapna was allegedly murdered by her brother and his associates over an ancestral property dispute in Moinabad. Four accused have been arrested, and police said the investigation is ongoing.
