A 12-year-old student died of a suspected cardiac arrest after suddenly falling ill at his school in the Mawana area of Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district on Monday, September 7, police said. Mawana Circle Officer Pankaj Lavania identified the boy as Kunal Sharma, a resident of the Kabli Gate area and a Class 7 student at Delhi Public School, Mawana.

Incident Details and Investigation
Authorities reported that the student had visited the restroom in the afternoon after classes had concluded. It was there that he suddenly suffered a cardiac arrest. "The student's health suddenly deteriorated at the school, following which the school administration and his family took him to doctors, who declared him dead," said Circle Officer Pankaj Lavania, adding that necessary legal proceedings are underway.
