New Delhi, September 29: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday refuted reports claiming that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were running out of ration money. The MHA said that it had paid the Ration Money Allowance (RMA) for all the months after it revised the ration money in July this year and only for the month of September is pending. The ministry assured to paid the allowance for September shortly. Risk and Hardship Allowance Hiked For CAPF Personnel by MHA.

The MHA spokesperson said, “Hence, the contention that jawans have run out of ration money is baseless and preposterous, and there is no crisis whatsoever. MHA's Statement:

The ministry added that CRPF troops had already received an amount Rs 22,144 as Ration Money in July which is equivalent to six months RMA. According to the MHA, the force has adequate funds for their mess and jawans are not running out of rations. The RMA was revised by the Centre on July 12, 2019.
