The vehicle was driven toward Shahapur village in Jamner taluka. However, near the Khadi river bridge, the front tyre of the bus was punctured. Unable to drive the heavy vehicle further, the suspect abandoned it on the spot and fled before dawn. Local residents noticed the unattended state transport bus on Monday morning, August 10. Upon realising it belonged to the Jamner depot, local staff and authorities were notified immediately.
Investigation and Security Concerns
Jamner depot manager Dinesh Naik formally lodged a police complaint at the Jamner police station against an unidentified individual. Preliminary reviews indicate that the entire sequence of events was captured on depot CCTV cameras.
