Mujgund, December 9: Three militants including Pakistani commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and two Kashmiri militants were killed in Mujgund, outskirts of Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar, and seven security personnel were injured after an 18-hour gunfight that ended on Sunday morning. Following the scuffle, the mobile internet services had been suspended in Srinagar. On Saturday, an encounter between security forces and militants, in Majgund area. Police officials informed that joint teams of special operation group (SOG) of police, 5 Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF launched cordon and search operation near the Srinagar-Bandipora road in Mujgund on Saturday evening.

Earlier last month, security personnel had gunned down two terrorists identified as Adnan Ahmad Lone and Adil Bilal Bhat, the duo had links with terror group Hizbul Mujahideen in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Security forces had also recovered arms and ammunition from them.
