Mumbai local train services will be affected on Sunday, August 9, as Central Railway and Western Railway will operate maintenance blocks on multiple suburban routes. The mega block will impact services on the Central, Harbour and Western lines during different time windows.

Mumbai local train services will be affected on Sunday, August 9, as Central Railway and Western Railway will operate maintenance blocks on multiple suburban routes. The mega block will impact services on the Central, Harbour and Western lines during different time windows.

Central Line Mega Block

A mega block will be operated on the Up and Down slow lines between Matunga and Mulund from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm.

Down slow services leaving CSMT Mumbai between 10:14 am and 3:32 pm will be diverted to the Down fast line between Matunga and Mulund. These trains will halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund before returning to the slow line at Mulund. Mumbai Water Cut on August 11: BMC Announces 24-Hour Shutdown, Check List of Affected Areas.

Up slow services leaving Thane between 11:07 am and 3:51 pm will similarly be diverted to the Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga, with halts at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion.

All Up and Down local trains leaving or arriving at CSMT between 11 am and 5 pm are expected to reach their destinations around 15 minutes late.

Harbour Line Services Suspended

The Harbour Line will face a longer block between CSMT and Bandra/Chunabhatti from 11:10 am to 4:40 pm.

Down services from CSMT towards Vashi, Belapur and Panvel leaving between 11:16 am and 4:47 pm will remain suspended. Up Harbour Line services towards CSMT from Panvel, Belapur and Vashi between 9:53 am and 3:20 pm will remain suspended. Services from Goregaon and Bandra towards CSMT between 10:45 am and 5:13 pm will also be cancelled.

Special services will operate between Panvel and Kurla at 20-minute intervals during the block period. Harbour Line passengers will also be permitted to travel via the Main Line and Western Railway between 10 am and 6 pm.

Western Line Jumbo Block

Western Railway will operate a Jumbo Block on the Up and Down Harbour Lines between Bandra and Goregaon from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm for maintenance of engineering, signalling and OHE equipment.

During the block, CSMT-Bandra-CSMT and CSMT/Panvel-Goregaon-CSMT/Panvel Harbour Line services will remain cancelled. Some Churchgate-Goregaon-Churchgate slow services on the Western Railway will also be cancelled.

Trans-Harbour And Uran Lines

There will be no block on the Trans-Harbour and Uran lines on Sunday, August 9.

Passengers travelling on Sunday are advised to check their train timings before starting their journey and allow extra time, particularly if travelling on the Central or Harbour lines.
