Police said the complainant's 22-year-old son had been in a relationship with the accused woman for nearly three years after the two met through social media. According to the complaint, disagreements began when the woman allegedly started pressuring the young man to get married, resulting in frequent arguments between the couple.

The son later informed his mother that he wished to end the relationship. He reportedly told her that he was unhappy with the woman's temperament and certain personal habits, including the consumption of tobacco and gutkha, an official said. According to the FIR, the woman allegedly used the complainant's photograph, digitally altered it, and placed it on another image featuring a man and a woman. Authorities claim the content was intended to damage the complainant's reputation following the rejection of the marriage proposal.

Based on the complaint, RAK Marg Police Station registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Information Technology Act.

Officials said an investigation is underway to verify the allegations, examine digital evidence, and determine the circumstances surrounding the social media posts. No arrest has been reported so far.
