Navi Mumbai, March 20: Residents of Kharghar and Taloja in Navi Mumbai will face a 12-hour emergency water cut starting 9:00 PM on Friday, March 20, as CIDCO undertakes urgent pipeline repair work. The water supply is expected to remain suspended until 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 21.

The disruption comes after a major technical fault was detected in an 800 mm mild steel pipeline at the Retibandar crossing near Belapur Creek. Officials said immediate repairs are necessary to prevent a larger infrastructure failure. Gauri More Stopped by Mumbai Police During Gudi Padwa Bike Ride at Girgaon; Video Goes Viral.

The shutdown will affect all sectors across both nodes. Even after restoration, water supply will initially resume at low pressure as the system undergoes gradual re-pressurization. Residents in high-rise buildings and tail-end areas may experience delays in receiving normal supply.

Authorities have urged residents to store adequate water before the cutoff and use it carefully during the disruption. Housing societies are also advised to coordinate water usage to reduce inconvenience. Mumbai Shocker: Video of Woman Kissing Man in Andheri Society Lift Leaks Online, Police Case Filed.

CIDCO stated that while the short notice may cause inconvenience, the emergency repair is crucial to ensure long-term stability of the water supply network in the region.
