Mumbai, December 31: Mumbai Police on Monday issued traffic advisory for diversions in route around the Mount Mary Church area in Bandra West, due to the new year celebrations. The Mount Mary Church in Bandra is one of the oldest and most renowned churches in the locality. Around two to three thousand people gather and offer prayers at the famous Bandra church, bringing in the new year praising the lord. In conservative Christian societies, special prayers are also held as the New Year marks the first day of the Gregorian calendar.

The alternative routes and diversions around the Mount Mary Church also contain information regarding parking in and around the church between 31/12/2019 and 1/1/2020.

The Mount Mary Church is one of the busiest junctions in the city around Christmas and New Year's time. Devotees in thousands flock to Bandra's heritage church in order to pay respects to the Basilica Of Our Lady of The Mount.
