Bengaluru, February 18: Angry locals in Karnataka set a teacher's house on fire on Saturday after she allegedly praised Pakistan on one of her social media posts. According to a tweet by ANI, the teacher, who lives in Kadabi Shivapur village in Belagavi, was arrested and has been sent to judicial custody for allegedly posting an objectionable post on social media. According to Police, a case was registered u/s 121 A, 153 & 153 A of IPC. Police informed that some villagers tried to set her house on fire but the situation was brought under control. The incident comes days after the deadly Pulwama attack which killed nearly 40 CRPF personnel. On Sunday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh accused  Pakistan of engineering the Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The Minister said that Pakistan carried out the attack after finding out that the terrorists have become frustrated in the wake of the successful operations by the Indian forces in the past five years.

"Pakistan, which has been patronising terrorism, realised that frustration and desperation had grown among the militants due to successful operations against them by our security forces in five years," Singh said at a public meeting on Sunday. According to reports, a day after the attack, the Centre withdrew 'Most Favoured Nation' status granted to Pakistan and called for "international isolation" of the neighbouring country.
