New Delhi, February 16: The bodies of the martyred soldiers killed in Pulwama terror attack, which were first brought to Delhi, have started sending in their respective native places on Saturday. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the entire nation lost 40 sons in the dastardly terrorist attack. A huge crowd had gathered to pay tribute to Ramesh Yadav, whose body was brought to his hometown Tofapur in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi around 8:30 am. With Indian flags in their hands, people prayed for the martyred soldier.

In Prayagraj too, the body of constable Mahesh Kumar was received by his family members on Saturday morning. The last rite of Jawan was performed in the banks of river Ganga with state respect.

In Tamil Nadu, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman laid a wreath on the mortal remains of CRPF Constable C. Sivachandran who lost his life in Pulwama Attack.

In Maharashtra, the body of CRPF Constable Pankaj Kumar Tripathi was also brought to his home in Harpur Tola village of Maharajganj around 12.30pm. The body of CRPF personnel Ratan Kumar Thakur was also brought to his home in Ratanpur in Bihar's Bhagalpur around 5.00 pm. Thakur's father after the Pulwama attack said that, "I will send my other son as well to fight. But Pakistan must be given a befitting reply."

A large crowd bade a tearful farewell to Mohan Lal as the mortal remains of the CRPF ASI killed in the Pulwama terror attack were consigned to flames with full state honours at Haridwar's Kharkhari cremation ground on the banks of the Ganga.

In the deadliest attack on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, over 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel were killed on Thursday when their convoy was targeted by a suicide bomber of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Pulwama district. The convoy of 78 buses, carrying around 2500 CRPF jawans were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, came under attack at 3.15 pm at Ladhu Modi Lethpora.
