Kochi, October 18: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to not conduct its services on Thursday a day after one of its buses was allegedly vandalised during a protest against the entry of women in Sabarimala Temple.

The bus carrying journalists and other passengers was allegedly vandalised by protesters near the Nilakkal base camp in Pathanamthitta district. Earlier on Thursday, Kerala Director General of Police (DGP) ordered cyber cell to register cases against people who are spreading religious hatred posts on social media related to incidents of violence in Nilakkal and Pamba. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Says, RSS was Trying to 'Destroy' the Lord Ayyappa Shrine by 'Unleashing Terror'.

The Sabarimala Temple, which opened to devotees on Wednesday, witnessed incidents of violence and protests in Pamba, Nilakkal, Sannidhanam, and Elavungal. The shrine's door opened implementing the Supreme Court's September 28 order that lifted a ban on entry of women aged between 10-50 years into the temple.
