The Delhi Police have assured legal representatives of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) activist Nishu Azad that influencer Swatantra Bharadwaj will be arrested within 72 hours following mounting pressure over an alleged assault. Speaking to news agency ANI, Rishav Ranjan said, "Delhi Police has assured that they could arrest him (Swatantra Bharadwaj) today or within 72 hours".

"In the meeting with Police, in the presence of Additional DCP Manjeet Sharma, we demanded that sections of attempt to murder, criminal intimidation, and relevant sections of SC/ST Act should be added in the existing FIR. The police have agreed to do this. We have demanded that a separate FIR be registered against the online threats being made to Nishu," said Rishav Ranjan. He also said that they have given a list of accounts to the police through which online abuse is being directed towards Nishu.
