Officials have secured the factory premises and the immediate surrounding area. Specialized teams are working to fully contain the chemical leak and minimize further exposure to the public. Ammonia gas is widely used in commercial industrial refrigeration systems, particularly within the seafood processing sector, but it poses severe respiratory risks if inhaled in concentrated amounts. An investigation into the exact cause of the leak is currently underway.
